The Beautiful Tree

The good wife she so loved a tree
That she asked the old gardener if he
Would buy up the seeds
Of this tree that she needs
And plant it immediately.

The gardener did answer the lass,
“This tree that you asked for won’t pass.
For if I do sow it
And then fully grow it
Will take 200 years more or less.”

To the gardener the woman did say,
“In that case I request, if I may,
Would you buy up the seeds
Of this tree that I need;
Don’t delay, begin planting today.”
